Whether moving house, starting a new job or even winning the lottery, change often brings a certain amount of reactive depression.
In times of change, some people react quickly and alertly in an emergency; others go to pieces. In a birthchart, there are a number of planets and planetary positions which could be related to change but the one area everyone knows about is their Sun Sign. The more outgoing signs are the positive signs, Aries, Gemini, Leo, Libra, Sagittarius and Aquarius. These are the 'go-out-and-getters', going after what they want out of life rather than waiting for events to happen to them. The negative or 'feminine' signs Taurus, Cancer, Virgo, Scorpio, Capricorn and Pisces could be said to be the more cautious in that they aren't so 'quick to the trigger', when it comes to initiating change. These signs prefer to proceed with caution. Even so this doesn’t say that the negative signs lack initiative. Many of these personalities show a large number of both determination and endurance. Signs Best Suited to ChangeThe mutable signs Gemini, Virgo, Sagittarius and Pisces are perhaps the best suited to adapting to change. Geminis love change, they thrive on activity and variety and they can be quick to act. Virgo is more practical and patient. S/he is well able to adapt to change, and to sort out confusion. Sagittarians are also unlikely to panic in emergencies. Those with Sagittarius strong in their charts are adventurous and not against taking risks. With optimism and a positive philosophical outlook on life, they enjoy the excitement change provides. Pisceans are at their best when given moral support and encouragement from others. Even so, those with a strong Pisces influence will adapt to changing circumstances. To the Piscean, change means new starts and new starts also mean new dreams! Cardinal SignsThe Cardinal signs: Aries, Cancer, Libra and Capricorn are more apt to adapt quickly and decisively to routine circumstances. However, though Aries will prefer to make their own opportunities, taking the initiative to instigate change, they can also be impetuous in action. Their adaptation to change will therefore largely depend on the positiveness of the change. Ruled by the Moon, Cancerians can be extremely 'changeable' in nature, swayed strongly by their deep emotions. When it comes to changes in circumstances rather than moods, the Cancerian will often be able to accept the situation. Change will be an expected part of the Libran’s life. Their need for variety will bring many experiences. As long as the disruptions do not lead the Libran into uncomfortable or distasteful situations, they'll adapt with little bother to their new circumstances. Capricorn adapts best to changes which bring them a step further to their main goals and ambitions. Practical, cautious and steadfast, they'll adapt easier to carefully planned changes. Fixed SignsThose born under the fixed sign Taurus are not keen at all when the boat is rocked. They are slow yet determined, practical yet cautious in outlook and when change may interrupt the normal running of their lives, they may take some time to adapt to new circumstances. Positive and optimistic in outlook are those born under the Sun-ruled Leo. Since they are willing to take risks, they are willing too, to accept the changes which may arise as a result of those risks. Scorpio wouldn’t object to the change which travel provides, and so long as other changes in their lives are 'organised' and expected, they'll have little difficult in adapting to these. Aquarians enjoy variety and travel. They value their freedom and hate to be curbed by anyone or anything. Therefore, they'd probably show boredom if their life trends did not include some change every now and again.
