In astrology the planets represent different parts of your personality. Their signs & houses on your horoscope build up an accurate picture of your personality as a whole

Astrology looks at the energy of the planets in the Solar System and how they affect people. A horoscope chart is a representation of the energy of the planets at the exact time and location of someone's birth. This energy is usually represented by glyphs. The 10 planets are important factors needed to read horoscopes.

The Sun

Almost everyone knows their Sun sign. It is an important planet because it represents the dominant side of someone's personality as well as showing the path to their fulfilment.

In astrology the Sun provides vitality and creativity. If someone makes an effort to work in sync with their Sun sign, they will attract the vitality and power of the Sun like a magnet. If they are a Cancer, it means making an effort to care and nurture. Being a Gemini means they should be sure to learn and teach others all they can, get out and about, and express themself. By taking simple steps such as these peoples' souls can begin to grow and their energy will increase.

The Moon

Whilst our Sun shows how someone should act if they wish to grow and be fulfilled, the Moon represents what they were like as a child; as well as their inner child as they go through adulthood.

The Moon supplies people with emotional energy. It is what people need, and what makes them feel secure emotionally. Satisfying the Moon is all about giving it enough, but not too much, importance in life.

Mercury

Mercury was the messenger of the Gods. It indicates the way someone thinks and expresses themself in an everyday sense. Mercury in fiery Leo, for example, would mean that they talk energetically with strong opinions.

Venus

Venus is someone's charming and sociable side, helping to build relationships and showing how they give/receive love. If it is allowed, Venus is where incredible success is created. This energy is peaceful, forgiving and compassionate.

Mars

Mars is the Bringer of War. It provides assertiveness and is energetic and dominant. Mars shows what drives a person; and what gets them angry.

Jupiter

Jupiter is a lucky planet. Whatever Sign and House Jupiter has in someone's horoscope is where they will exhibit its generosity, fortune and expansiveness. The problem is that things often come all too easily and that can make people spoilt or bring laziness in these areas of their life.

Saturn

Saturn, the Great Teacher, brings discipline and structure. It teaches lessons through hardships but having a weak Saturn often makes for an immature person. If Saturn is used wisely it will make anyone's dreams achievable, but they will always have to work at whatever Saturn is associated with their Horoscope.

Uranus

Uranus is forward thinking and rebellious. It represents a person's energy to change. Uranus goes against authority, pointless traditions and pushes for innovative action and inventions. The zodiac sign of Uranus shows people whether innovativeness and rebelliousness is exhibited through social causes, inventions, or how they decorate their home .

Neptune

Neptune is subtle and intuitive, supplying the mystical energy of imagination, but can also point to deceit and addiction.

Pluto

The Magician, Pluto transforms and seeks to control. It is intense and, like the other outer planets, the changes it brings will affect entire generations as well as individuals because it is so slow to revolve around the Sun.
